Queeraspora eV is an association of queer BIPoCs, refugees, and migrants based in Bremen. The group has existed de facto since 2016 ; it has been a registered non-profit association since the end of October 2021.

Queeraspora originally began in 2016 as a “Queer Refugees Café” , which was initially aimed only at queer people with refugee experience in the wake of the refugee movements in 2015.

The Migrant Self-Organization (MSO) grew steadily over the years and gained national attention thanks to our diverse events and political activities. It then also opened up to queer BIPoC people who themselves had no refugee or migration experience.

As a result, the group became more diverse and included more perspectives than before, which we also acknowledged and made more visible.
